The Effective Teacher by Harry K. Wong

The topic dicussed during the workshop/seminar by Harry Wong entitled " The Effective Teacher" that talks about how to become an effective teacher to our student. He simply discussed the teaching strategies and learning styles that gave us an ideas how to become an effective teacher and also give us a strategies that we can use to catch our students attention or focused on you as a teacher, Harry Wong discussed four important stage which is the fantasy, survival, mastery and impact. First the fantasy we know that when you become a teacher you will be fantasize about teaching you will become so much inlove on what you are doing, also this stage talks about to our novice teacher what they are suppose to do, what they need to teach and how to teach their lessons so that they will caught their student attentions. Second the survival here the teacher is already know what she/he will do for a week she already planned the lesson for a week because the teacher thinks only how can she survive in a week without thinking if her student is learning from her, third stage is the master the teacher knows already the meaning of teaching, teaching is something that she need to do for our student tyo learn and lastly the impact the teacher also need to consider what impact that she gives to her student in the future. what are the impact that she can give to her student to become motivated and also Harry wong discussed the importance of classroom management because teacher knows how to manage her class her room and the behaviour of her student to become an effective teacher and to help our student to become a successful person.


The relavance of this workshop to my professional growth, personal growth, and to my current course is how to become a good and effective special educator in the future. first of all ofcourse as a future teacher you need to know the four stages as a teacher you need to knowf what you need to teach, how will you teach and how effective you are as a teacher, specially in special education you need to know if your student well, you need to address your student strenght and weaknesses that you will know if what are you going to do or what your syudent needs. Being a special educator is not easy you need to know how to manage your classroom your student and as well as your co teachers or other professionals. We know that handling special student is more challenging that handling a regular class because this student have their own differnces in their life and they those student have an exceptionalities that you need to deal with it and g9ive your best to help them to unleashed their potentials and help them to become functional, and as a person or as a teacher we need to love your profession you need to embrace it tighly to became an effective teacher to our student.


The knowledge and skills that i learned in this seminar is very useful inmy future career and i will make sure that all those things will be use when i become a special educator teacher because i believe that every child with special need have thier right to be teach, and to become functional. and also i will use those things specially in handling student with specail need because, teaching them is not simple to teach them you need to do your best. And as teacher who have positive thoughts in teaching and in their student is a effective teacher.We as a teacher we dont need to do what we want to do as a teacher because as teacher we need to consider our student if how they will be learn from you and in theri own life experiences.

During the seminar the only problem that i encountered is the technical prombles because sometimes i cannot understand what Mr. Harry Wong Explaining thats why in this blog i cannot specifically explained the characteristic that Mr. Wong discussed during the seminar and also i get bored because i cannot hear clearly beacuse Mr. Wong is talking so fast. but even that problems i surely understand if how to became a effective teacher.
